Convention Rules
Registration: Registration passes are for the full weekend. Partial passes are not sold. Passes may not be shared. Registration passes are non-refundable.
Children: Attendees must be 14 years of age or older. Attendees aged 14-15 must have a responsible guardian present at all times.
Harassment: Harassment will not be tolerated. Anyone found to be harassing an attendee, vendor, staff, or anyone else at the convention will be expelled from the convention and their money will not be refunded.
CastleCon is dedicated to providing a harassment-free and inclusive experience for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, gender identity or religion. Therefore, we do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, or gender identity; sexual images in public spaces; deliberate intimidation; stalking; following; harassing photography or recording; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply.
If you, as an attendee, feel harassed, you may inform the offender that you would like the harassing behavior to stop. If you are not comfortable doing this, you may contact a CastleCon staff member who will address the concern.
Likewise, if you feel that someone else is being harassed, you may notify a CastleCon staff member who will address the concern.
If anyone engages in harassing behavior, CastleCon organizers may take any action they, in their sole discretion, deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion with no refund.
Sportsmanship: Yes please.
Photos or Video: Please ask permission before including an attendee in a picture or video.
Badges: No swapping/lending of badges is allowed. Badges should be worn prominently at all times.
Lost Items/Theft: CastleCon is not responsible for any lost or stolen property. If something does happen, please let a Castlecon staff member know and we will try to help the situation if possible.
Smoking: In accordance with Ontario Laws, there is no smoking permitted in the building.
Alcohol: The hotel does not allow alcohol to be consumed within the convention grounds.
The most important rule for CastleCon is have fun. Help make the convention a memorable experience for yourself and others.
