CastleCon Math Trade

What is a Math Trade?  A Math trade is a way to trade games with other people using a mathematical algorithm.  The algorithm will go through all of the games for trades and those wanted and create trades based on the most amount of trades possible.

Basically you list all of the games you want to trade.  Others will do the same.  You then create Want Lists for each of your games, attaching which games you would trade your game for of those listed.  You are guaranteed to only make trades that you are comfortable making, by creating individual want lists.

For example, let’s say you are going to trade Ticket to Ride away and the other games available are: Agricola, Cataan, Android: Netrunner, Codenames, and Power Grid.  In this scenario you already own Cataan and Power Grid.  Furthermore, you don’t want to trade for Codenames and you do want Agricola and Android: Netrunner.  You would list Agricola and Android: Netrunner as games you’d be willing to accept in a trade for Ticket to Ride.  It doesn’t mean you’ll get one of those two games for Ticket to Ride, but it does mean you won’t get anything else.

Generally we will start the Math Trade in late September and end it in early October.  Stay tuned to our News Feed and Facebook Page for more information!
